Escondido

Escondido

This North County Inland city borders San Marcos and Vista. With convenient access to the Interstate 15, one can travel straight from Escondido to downtown San Diego or Temecula's wine country. Escondido's inland status does not preclude it from beach access, as a twenty-minute drive is all it takes to arrive at the shore. But, convenient location isn't all that Escondido has to offer. The city boasts numerous wineries and breweries, a historic downtown with its Maple Streep Plaza, and three lakes that offer a variety of recreation. If one desires further escape, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located in the middle of Escondido just off the Interstate 78.
